WHEN: 21 February, 2020
WHERE: Noosa Sunshine Coast Queensland

Our beautiful Noosa will be dedicated as the 10th World Surfing Reserve on Friday the 21st of February 2020, the third Australian surfing destination to receive the prestigious honour.

The official dedication will be held in Noosa National Park, then there will be a public celebration as part of the ‘Noosa Festival of Surfing’ at Main Beach from 3pm. Head along to commemorate this exciting occasion with live music, surfing exhibitions and food and drinks available at the Festival Beach Bar.

Why Noosa? Noosa was selected as a world surfing reserve in recognition of our town’s decades of leadership in surf and conservation culture in Australian and around the world.
The Noosa National Park protects the right-hand point break and provides a magnificent backdrop with some of the last remaining stands of lowland coastal rainforest.  It’s a natural delight.
